The School Council comprises of the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. All these posts are held by Year 6 children who are elected for their positions by the school community voting for them. In addition, each class vote for two Council representatives to be part of the School Council.
Mrs Rigby (the Teaching Assistant in Year 5 and 6) arranges the agenda and helps to run the meetings alongside the children.
Pupil voice is at the heart of the School Council. The School Council is interested in hearing everyone's ideas and views so the children are asked to share their thoughts in class, which in turn, get discussed and acted upon at the meetings.
