Learning Zone 4

Learning Zone Four has two real focus points -  maths and fine motor skills. There are a wealth of opportunities in this area for children to strengthen their fingers using scissors, tweezers and threading. In turn they then use their strong fingers to hold pencils to practise correct number and letter formation. Children will also practise and develop skills learnt in their main maths lesson, as well as initiating their own maths activities.

What our children say about Zone Four

"I use the tweezers to get the bugs but I can't touch the web, it's tricky."
"I learn my numbers, I can count like my sister."
"I like to build lots."

Activities include: maths, construction, fine motor skills, finger gym, maths shelves, an interactive screen with a maths based activity and a carpet activity.
