Attendance Ambassadors

Bishop Lonsdale Attendance Ambassadors are pupils selected to promote and support good attendance across our school community and beyond. Their role is both symbolic and practical, helping to foster a culture where regular attendance is valued and celebrated. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Role Models: Chosen for their excellent attendance, they serve as examples to their peers.
  • Peer Support: Encourage classmates to attend regularly by sharing strategies and personal experiences.
  • Celebration and Recognition:
    • Present weekly attendance figures in assemblies.
    • Celebrate improvements and reward students with certificates or points.
  • Communication:
    • Help share attendance messages via newsletters, school website and Parent Hub.
    • Update attendance boards and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with staff to identify reasons for low absence and lates.
    • Suggest and help organise rewards and incentives
