Curriculum Overview

The Curriculum at Bishop Lonsdale
Curriculum statement

At Bishop Lonsdale we create a nurturing environment that promotes personal development and mental health and well-being, with a broad and balanced curriculum that celebrates diversity, uniqueness, creativity, imagination, curiosity and sporting achievements.

Christian and British values form the foundation of all learning, with children respecting and treating others as they would want to be treated and encouraging others to persevere and show resilience.

Children of all backgrounds, beliefs and abilities are provided with the opportunity to develop a lifelong love of learning, have high aspirations and reach their full potential - it is a foothold on their way to becoming global citizens of the future who understand that they have the ability to make a positive difference.

Our curriculum is deigned to be memorable, relevant, enriching and empowering, providing opportunities for children to visit places of interest and welcome visitors into school to support their learning, ignite excitement and a desire to learn.
